Just days after returning from vacation with her daughter's family in Cabo San Lucas, Consuelo Yepez Camarillo, 71, endured a series of strokes while visiting Houma, Louisiana for a family wedding.
Lovingly known as "Mamu Connie", was born on October 4, 1954, in Michoacan, Mexico and spent her early years in Somerton, Arizona as the eldest of eight siblings. During her youth, the Yepez family traveled to Los Banos, California each summer. The family would work the tomato fields at Fawcett Farms & live in the Migrant Camp. It was during these years that she met her husband, Albert Camarillo of Los Banos. They were married in April of 1977 and permanently settled in Los Banos in 1984 to raise their family.
Mamu Connie was known by all as a loving, welcoming, and warm soul with an infectious smile. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy, teaching her loved ones to carry themselves with respect, strength, perseverance, deep faith, and above all aprovechar- to make the very most of every moment. We will miss her dearly.
