Peggy Ann Degregori

 Peggy Degregori, a lifelong daughter of Los Banos and devoted mother, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 101. Peggy was one of three children born to Alfred and Lulie Michelotti, sister to Gloria Marie, who passed at the age of 2, and Alfred Joseph (Mickey). She attended Los Banos High School and went on to further study at San Jose State University. Following the tragic, accidental death of her brother Mickey at the age of 17, Peggy returned to Los Banos to support the work of her mother and father, founders of the Los Banos Abattoir Company. In the years that followed, Peggy married Navy veteran and Los Banos dentist Dr. David Degregori and, together, raised their daughters Michaela and Anna. Lovingly known as 'Ro' to her family, she was a fiercely loving mother, savvy businesswoman, and trusted partner to Central Valley farmers. In both her personal and professional lives, she was known to be resolute but fair, and deeply committed to those she cared for. She was a devoted supporter of St. Joseph Church, Our Lady of Fatima School, and New Bethany Senior Care Community. She was an inspiration in life and remains an enduring presence in the hearts of all who knew her. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband David and her beloved granddaughter Genessa. She is survived by her daughters Michaela and Anna; grandchildren Mick, Jenna, Walter and Connor; and great-grandchildren Venessa, Max, Isla, Leo, Capri and Liam.
