RONALD LEE MILLS Ronald Lee Mills, age 81, of Sacramento, California, and formerly of Los Banos, California, passed away on February 25, 2026, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on November 10, 1944 in Merced, California, Ron was the son of Edna May Gray. Ron was a loving husband, caring father, and devoted family man. He spent most of his adult life - over 40 years - as a pharmacist, a career in which he excelled due to his compassionate and patient personality. Ron graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy in 1971 as class valedictorian and received the Eli Lilly Award. Prior to pharmacy school, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of California at Berkeley in 1968. Ron graduated from Los Banos High School in 1962. Ron met his wife, Kathleen (née Piccinini) in 1964 at a May Day party in Los Banos, they dated through college and then wed in Los Banos in 1966. Theirs was a marriage that was filled with devotion to each other and their family, hard work, joy in their homelife and traditions, and a shared faith in God. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his sons, Michael and John; their spouses, Diana and Nathan; and his five grandchildren, James, Jonathan, Preston, Nathan, and Josephine. Ron will be remembered for his service to his neighbors and community, and above all, his love for and commitment to his family. His legacy lives on through his sons and grandchildren who will cherish his memory forever. A service to honor his life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel, located at 1840 Center Ave., Los Banos, CA 93635, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by the praying of the rosary for his soul at 10:30 a.m. and thereafter a funeral mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 1621 Center Ave., Los Banos, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow the mass at the Los Banos Cemetery at 16575 Center Ave., Los Banos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the American Heart Association.
