William 'Bill' G. Krider

WILLIAM (BILL) G. KRIDER MUSCATINE, Iowa - William George Krider, 72, of Muscatine, passed away after an extended illness on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus. Per Bill's wishes there will be no services. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Island Cemetery in Fruitland, Iowa. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com. Bill was born on January 25, 1949, in Muscatine, the son of William Frederick and Vivian Jean (Ross) Krider. He graduated from Louisa Muscatine High School in 1967. After working at Thatcher Glass, Bill went to work at Muscatine Power and Water for 39 years before he retired in 2010. Bill's favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. Many memories were made when Bill and five of his friends made their yearly fishing trip to Haley's Camp in Ontario, Canada, for over 25 years. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, Izaak Walton League, Masonic Iowa Lodge No. 2, and a lifetime member of NRA. any years. He was happy to see the development of the Youth Trap Shooting League and enjoyed helping with their practices and competitions held at the Muscatine Ikes Trap Shooting Range. He is lovingly remembered by his West Coast nieces and nephews and his good hunting and fishing buddies. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Katherine McAllister, and Francis Woodson.
