mongst other hobbies, Bob loved all kinds of racing...engaging in high level go-kart racing in the 1970's, then a spectator watching NASCAR at MIS, Formula One on TV, and visiting Eldora Speedway (dirt track racing) in his later years. He was also a world class photographer. Working part time in his younger years for Sam Sturgis Photography, he specialized in wedding photography. Later on, he enjoyed being field level at Michigan Football focusing on specific players, shooting landscape/wildlife pictures, and truly enjoyed taking candid family pictures. The most joy Bob had after retirement was the golfing adventures he experienced with his friends and family. His Tuesday foursome, his Friday group, and the various trips that were made with those same friends, and of course, the stories that came out of those trips, were invaluable to those who attended. He also valued family...and was very, very proud of all of his grandchildren and their many accomplishments, who all survive him: Anthony (Kathleen) Hoxie of Lansdale PA, Christopher (Laura) Livesay of St. Louis MO, Cal Livesay (Anna Messina) of Scarsdale NY, Dane and Jessi Glaze of San Clemente CA, and Danny, AJ (Lauren), and Justin (Cori) Henry of Jackson MI. Bob was so fond of the "February trip" where he and Sandy, and sister-in-law and very special friend, Christy, would spend the month in Marco Island. Family and friends would visit, go on fishing trips, exotic car shows, feast on Michelbob's Ribs, eat at Nene's for breakfast, and relax by the pool. A special thanks to the following close friends who made his, and Sandy's, life special: Fred and Judy Jahnke, George and Bonnie Loepke, and Dave and Barb Tanner...and those so many others who know who you are. A short visitation will begin at 3:00 pm Saturday November 7, 2020 at Nie Funeral Home, 3767 West Liberty Road, Ann Arbor MI until 4:00 pm.
