They have many fond memories of board games played together and many games of Yahtzee. She enjoyed hosting her grown daughters and their families at her home for holidays and loved decorating. Barbara was a lifelong learner. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. Her education focused on clerical and accounting, but she took a wide variety of classes at Fairmont State, technical and online schools. She loved working at the USDA Forest Service until she retired as it allowed her to use the skills she learned in the classroom while still allowing time for her other interests. In keeping with her request, Barbara will be cremated, and no services are planned.
